Toshiba NB505-N508BL 10.1-Inch Netbook (Blue)

Price: $469.99

If  you’re in the market for a value for money, well-featured netbook then you should definitely check out the Toshiba NB505-N508BL 10.1-Inch Netbook (Blue).  At 1.4 inches thick and weighing in at less than 3 pounds, there’s no reason at all why this little baby can’t occupy a permanent position in your bag, briefcase or rucksack.  After all, we all want to have our computing needs with us 24/7, and having the Toshiba NB505-N508BL 10.1-Inch Netbook (Blue) close at hand means you never need to be out of contact or out of touch.

What stands out from this machine is its full size keyboard, unlike the other laptops, which you must use pgup and pgdown key while pressing the fn key if you scroll in a long website page, with the Toshiba NB505-N508BL 10.1-Inch Netbook (Blue) you can actually forget that pain because of the comfortable full size “PC” keyboad.

The touchpad is also very much improved in this model, it is very much better and wider for your productivity.
The 2.9 pounds weight is great, I can actually place this laptop in a bookbag, and it is very efficient as I am a student.

If you are on the move frequently, I definitely recommend this machine, because it is very small for a netbook and very simple to carry or pack.

Pros

• Truly light and portable
• Has a full-sized keyboard – which is rare on a netbook of this size
• Excellent battery life
• Easy to set up
• Runs extremely cool
• Fast for the size and spec
• Excellent value for money

Cons

• No disc drive – (of course, it's a netbook.)
• Windows 7 Starter is fairly basic – but this is intentional and specifically designed for netbooks so as not to bog them down with unnecessary programs
• The mono speaker isn’t great – but has a separate jack to plug into external speakers
